Addington Manor and Bishop Burton College approved as Equestrian Training Bases for 2012 Olympics

Addington Manor, in Buckinghamshire, and Bishop Burton College, in Beverley, have been approved as Equestrian training bases for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Team GB Eventing Team have chosen Addington as one of their training venues for the final build up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and will be making use of the extensive facilities at the centre.

equestrian olympics 2012Riders will be training on MCE surfaces at both venues - Addington Manor boasting a total of 16,000 square metres of Ecotrack surface, while the footing on all outdoor arenas at Bishop Burton, which also hosted the 2010 FEI Pony Europeans, is Dry Ecotrack. The College also has Ecotrack on one of its indoor arenas.
